Present information by plotting Hertzsprung-Russell diagrams for: nearby or brightest stars, stars in a young open cluster, stars in a globular cluster

  • Nearby – on main sequence, mainly lower mass and red dwarfs (lower right of main)
  • Brightest – reside in upper main (beyond our sun) and also in super giant (upper left of main and grouping to right)
  • Open – loose star grouping – formed in same time-period (plot of main sequence)
  • Globular – oldest clusters and oldest stars, red dwarves are longest living and primary stars (missing top left of sequence, show turn off to group on right), non-symmetrical
